Allen Meadows - Score: 93-95 (2022 January)

A more deeply pitched nose features notes of exceptionally floral dark currant, black raspberry, poached plum and a plethora of exotic spice wisps. There is excellent mid-palate density to the powerful and broad-shouldered flavors that flash evident muscularity on the robust and strikingly long finale. This stylish built-to-age effort is going to require extended aging in a cool cellar. Readers should note that my predicted initial drinking window estimate is based on the magnum format.
